A former Stapenhill car lot is set to be transformed into 25 affordable homes after a planning application was approved by East Staffordshire Borough Council. NatWest bank announces branch closures across Derbyshire
Major High Street banking group NatWest has announced the closure of a number of branches in Derbyshire, leaving the fate of 20 members of staff unknown.
The group has stated that it plans to close branches in Mickleover, Matlock, Ashbourne, Belper and Ripley.
The branches employ 20 members of staff in total, and the move comes as just a small part of plans to shut 158 buildings nationwide which will affect around 470 staff.

Commuters may face delays to their journeys following an incident in Stafford this afternoon, Friday, March 24.
A man has died after he was struck by a train at Stafford station this afternoon. Officers from British Transport Police were called to the station alongside paramedics at 12.25pm.
