A 'REMARKABLE' animal welfare campaigner has died at the age of 88.Ivy Fern was one of the founding members of Burton Cats in Need and spent much of the 1990s and beyond writing to Prime Ministers and MPs in a bid to bring animal welfare to their attention.Her niece, Anne Penny, said Ivy was 'very active in lobbying people who could make a difference' alongside her role in caring for her favourite four-legged animals.Ms Penny said: "She was involved in the Cats Protection and I think Burton Cats...
